Default Arizen Racing Sports Seat Install in Camaro

Thanks to Jeff G. for letting us use his Camaro to test fit our modified driver bracket for the Camaro. The pictures below show the seat did not rub on the door. This was are deeper back bolstered seat which is also narrower across the bolsters. The standard back bolster seats may need to have the bracket adjusted a little more toward the center. There was a little more room to move that way.

The seat also slid back farther and allowed more leg room on this 1999 Camaro.

Jeff is 6'3" I believe and he was still able to wear his helmet while sitting in the seat.

I know Jeff has a busy weekend but he can give you his opinion of the seats when he has the time. If we get enough interest from people ready to purchase seats I will try to see what can be done for a package deal with brackets and seat belt guides.

Anytime. It was great to have a chance to sit in the seat before I bought one!

I should add that the seat felt COMFORTABLE! Its not every day that I sit in a sport seat that will prevent me from sliding all over the place during autox competition while also giving me great thigh and side support for a long road trip.

Here is a pic I took of the seat installed; there is a lot of room between the side of the seat and the door. The bottom thigh was plenty far away from the map-pocket while the side bolsters were nowhere near getting hit by the door.

I wear a KBC helmet and sometimes an open face helmet for autocross. the KBC is much taller (the one in the pic I'm wearing the KBC) and my head felt the same height away from the roof as my stock seat. The seat also moved back much further than my stock seat, which is a welcome feat.

Looks great!

I'd like to see more pics, full size ones of the seat itself.

Peace,
Craig.

I don't think there's an actual weight savings once installed over the o/e seat. The seat is about 32 lbs and with the sliders and brackets needed for installation you are probably in low to mid 40's. I will try to get a weight when I can.

This was a seat we just made using the o/e cloth from the 2006-07 Honda Civic Si. You can see the material in person on this vehicle. I'll try to get more pictures when I can.

does your 1982-02 CAMARO/FIREBIRD DRIVER SIDE BRACKET allow to use the factory power rails?

Not sure. Most people get the seats and have the roll bar fitted around the seat.

No. To get the seat to sit at this height we have a bracket that bolts to the floor and uses our sliders provided.

I will work with members wherever I can. Let me know what you are looking for materials and color wise - cloth, leather, simulated leather or suede.

It is tuff to determine just from measurements. The side bar normally fits just below the shoulder and the bend is determined after the seat is installed.

Some people have made their own adapter plates to fit the o/e tracks to our seat but it is not easy because the original tracks are not flat. They have a bow in the center and our seats are flat. If you did mount our seat to the o/e tracks it would sit much higher than the factory seat since our foam is much thicker than the original seat cushion foam.
