So I bought ANOTHER SS. *PICS*
I brought the '96 home today. Its my new daily driver....with LT's, GMMG cat back, heads, cam, intake......Still doesn't come close to the '02.
And the wheels I just ordered for the '96. 17x9's up front, and 17x10.5's in the back.

I love LT1 SSs. What is done to your LS1 SS?
I had a cam only LS1 Trans Am, sold it, and now I'm in a LT1 Trans Am with heads and cam. I know the LT1 has heads and a slightly more aggressive cam but that low end and midrange LT1 power makes the car feel very strong in comparison to the LS1 Trans Am... until around 5000rpms when it feels like the LS1 with a slipping clutch. The LT1 is nice around town and part throttle though.
