Default Finally painted.

So awhile back I moved to North Carolina for a few months to take advantage of a fully stocked shop. Among the projects completed is the bumper I hand-laid over a year and a half ago. Some of you may even remember making fun of it.

So anyway, here it is in paint. Take a gander and leave some remarks.

Thank you everyone for your time and comments. I'm just happy it's finished and that it'll last for a while.

And no this project was started from scratch with cardboard, art screen, and fiberglass. I'd post pictures of its arduous creation and transformation, but I don't think it'd generate much interest. I think I even have a creation .mpeg; not sure how large it is though. I doubt I can host it.

Thanks again for the comments. Though I haven't posted much, I've been a happy member of LS1Tech for a while now. I appreciate the opportunity to share and learn.

Next up, the dash. I just bought a donor interior in the form of a wrecked '95 V6. I pray to god I'll have the continued time to get it done, and not allow the dash [as a project] to last quite as long as the bumper did.

I drove around with a primered beak for longer than a year. Whew. Just glad it's over.

On more of a BS note though, after having to move back to Maryland I am required to drill two .5" bolt holes through my new nose to allow for the front license plate law. I am a bit bummed about that. And I'll have to make a bracket for the nose too. Something soft and sculpted I think--but damn the Maryland plate is ugly.

Interesting. I didn't even notice the lights until I read your post about fabricating it. I thought you just cut a big hole at first.

I'm not crazy about it... but I don't dislike it either.

Regardless of what people think of it, that's some GREAT work you did!!

I do want a different hood. Maybe ram air, I don't know. How about a muscled up '82 Formula cowl induction hood? *strokes chin dastardly* Hmm..
