Default Finally painted my Sunoco hood...

Well I JUST picked it up from the paint shop so these are just preliminary pics (haven't put the headlights, emblems, grille, etc... back on yet) but here you go:

I got the hood painted, the bumper painted and the fenders blended. Bascially the whole front clip has been repainted. They did an EXCELLENT job (they are the guys who did my spoiler) the color matches, paint is thick, and no orange peel

Hard to see in my crapy pic but here's a shot to show the lack of orange peel (still very dusty in this pic):

In the very near future it will finally look like this photoshop of it (hood was actually in gelcoat still in this pic):

More pics to come

Did they paint the underside? Also , did you use the OEM heat shield/blanket or just do away with it?

Looks great to me... Last time I had it painted I pulled it off and took it in (to a different shop). Came out like *** (they sprayed it at the wrong angle). This time looks great!

I couldn't make up my mind on the underside (satin NBM, satin black, NBM w/clear coat, etc...) so I left it in gelcoat untill I do the engine bay (still trying to decide between NBM w/clear or Satin Black for the entire engine bay).

Heatshield would cover up the huge cowl opening

do the underside in NBM and clear. you can wax it and polish it all the time and get great results.

Yeah but the factory paint on the engine bay is not cleared so it wouldn't match either...

Yeah it kind of sucks. I spend 90% of my internet time on this board and it is all the (about 5) other boards that had no problem and switched my account right over
