trim removal problems

Default trim removal problems

ok so im removing my trim off the trans am the trim right above where it says trans am on the door, and all but one small piece of double sided tape came off. ive asked around and people think that it has been glued on there. so im wondering if any one knows how in the heck i can take that off. because it is on there really good. any ideas will help... aslong as it doesnt remove my paint lol

It shouldn't be glued on there, but it is some strong tape. Usually rubbing it with your thumb will peel it off. Be carefull, you will have blisters in no time. You can also use some goo-gone, wd-40 etc to help.

is it on your pass. side?? i had the same thing it looked like different tape but i just picked at it forever and then put some goo gone on there and let it sit for a bit and picked more.

i took it to a body shop near me and he thinks that it has been glued on there. i mean the thing is black . it seemd like the trim piece fell off and they just glued it back on w/ something.. the rest of my trim came off fine with some good rubbing and sore fingers. but yes it is on my passenger side on the rear quarter panel

try heat gun see if it rubs off?

If its stuck on there that good, the heat gun will probably bubble the paint before it comes off. The previous owner probably glued it instead of getting some more tape. Without seeing it, I don't know what else would work. Might have to sand it off ??
