Default Does anyone have this setup???

Im getting ready to clone my 00' Z28 to an SS....the hood I bought is Pewter with Black anniversary stripes like the ones you find on the 97 Camaro SS.

My question is....Does anyone have a Pewter SS with Red Anniversary stripes??

Im really thinking about doing this.....but I don't know how it would look....maybe someone out there has this setup??

Pewter SS with Red Anniversary stripes???

I dunno about the red on pewter, that's kind of loud.. Maybe a color that's a couple of shades darker than the factory pewter.

IMO, red stripes period, are hideous. It doesn't matter if your car is black, white, red, hugger orange, silver, pewter, green-metallic, dark blue, light blue, gray, cream, light green, dark green, forest green, viper steel grey, yellow, zinc yellow, pink, brown, crimson, charcoal metallic, flat black, tan, vanilla, burgundy, teal, gold, merlot, azure blue, copper, graphite, or lime green.

It looks really good on white. Just my opinion.

I would also suggest you go with stripes a few shades darker than pewter. Possibly a gunmetal with slight metallic flake to match the flake of the pewter.

Please don't do it. I had a pewter SS. The red will clash with the pewter.

Red on pewter is very "IN YOUR FACE". However, in person, it looks good. My old TA won a few trophies in it's time.

Definitely not subtle, and definitely a love-it or hate-it kind of thing. More pics at the webshots link in my sig, but here's one:

Good luck, whatever you decide...
