hood closing
whenever i close my hood, i have to pull on it pretty good, and when its time to get it to lock on the latch i have to give it a good push. i took off my STB, lid, and my hood struts and it still needs that assistance. what could it be? my friend has a fiberglass SS hood on his Z28 and he can just throw the hood down and bam lock.
im thinking its the arms. because they seem to be digging into the hood slightly where it comes to a point. theres a "catch" on the arms and thoes are digging into the hood. and when its all the way down before locking i think its the rubber seal along the cowl.
also, the bracket where the hood locks onto the latch that is sitting on rivets in the hood that are holding a metal piece for threads. would that keep the hood from closing a little more in the front? because it doesnt quite line up with the front bumper. and the bumper is sagging a little.
