Default Ttop blewout

Hey guys this morning i was in a rush to get to work because of a emergency,and i thought i locked in my t tops before leaveing my house but unfortuanetly i didnt seem to of locked the passengers side which ended up blowing out...so my question is what should i do now?where can i get a cheap replacement?

mine did that a while back, i posted a WTB thread and got tons of replies...they are surprisingly common here. Im sure u can find one. mine was 135 shipped.

also ebay i got mine there same problem. i think we need a sticky on how to lock the t-tops down lol

wow i couldn't imagine driving down the street and seeing such a thing it would rip my heart out seeing part of my car break like that!! Good luck finding a new t top but ill be sure to check my tops every time from now on

salvage yard or on here. i did the same thing years ago in my 96. i turned it in to my insurance company. I think it was like $700 for one side only. i only paid for my deductable. make sure you keep the guts from the old one so that you can swap the lock from the old to the new.

sorry to hear that...bet u do not have SUBFRAME CONNECTORS.

damn that sux...

that would really suck if it happend in the interstate or highway and hit another car behind you.... could you imagin that....

mine flew out on the Freeway....but it was 230am and noone behind me for miles..

mine also blew out on the free way and there were like 30 cars behind me but luckily it blew off to the side of the freeway and shattered in the grass

I have a Passenger side one you can buy, same thing happend to me with my camaro that I had back in High school, except the Driver side blew out...it is a Dot Matrix stlye though, so it won't match your other one

wow man that sucks major! this actually about freakin happened to me Saturday. idk i guess i forgot to lock it back Friday night when i got home but heading up to a Truck pull/mud run i started hearing air coming in at around 65 mph.... scared the hell out of me and i locked it as fast as i could. i'd probably cry also if i watched one of my t tops fly off my car!

I've never done this. I'm always really careful to remember to lock 'em down. It sucks for ya man. There is one at a local yard here but they are pretty weathered On the outter trim at least.

been there done that. it sucks and can be an expensive mistake. But hopefully you can find a deal from someone on tech!

so its important to actually lock them down with the key? i would imagine that what you all mean since its too easy to close the latch. maybe i dont have a problem with this because i have subframe connectors.

Default it was like a james bond movie!!!!!!!!

THanks for the all the great replies.....i had just passed up a few cars on a backroad when that thing just flew out in a split second......i looked in my rearview and saw it laying on the edge of the opposite layin shattered and mangled.....i was pissed i didnt even pick it up but i did pull over..cus i knew the cars i just passed ran it over...but no i dont have subframe connectors for those who asked..but im assuming your gonna tell me to get some haha...i found a guy in my area sellin his for a 100 bucks luckily
