Default Hugger + Whistler and berger

So I finally finished a week long project since my car was getting dropped off at the shop.

I only used the Plast X I got from Walmart on the lights.
As you can see, they were pretty yellow.
After about 5 coats of it, I figure the stuff did a darn good job for a few bucks!! I am gonna try the "Mothers alum wheel and mag cleaner" to finish it up. I don't think they are bad enough any more to go thru the sanding fix.

The whistler went pretty smoothly with the 200 degree thing working exactly like described in the sticky. I did crack a corner a little, so make sure you leave it in the oven the whole time as described.....I got antsy

On the Berger, I washed with dish soap to strip the wax. I wet sanded with pretty find grit so It took some time. I sprayed about 5 coats of flat black followed with about 5 more coats of clear. I see a hairline scratch already. if it does not buff, I will re-do the damn thing since I am ****!!

I also took the time to remove the useless airpump and the foglights.

Cant wait to retake these pix with the slicks on after I get it back from FLP.

Comments welcome.....................

Before

After

I hit 100k on the way to take the pix!!!!

Agreed. I hate the look.
Sounds great. I had to give up my true duals for my suspension.

I may paint that big ol muffler black.
Thoughts?

Thanks for the compliments and suggestions guys!!!!

*I will do the muffler next week and post it.

*What is the "full" whistler mod

*I'm gonna try the mag cleaner before I do the sanding. not much yellow left, i think I can pull it off with a little more elbow and some polish

You need to paint the ribbed area on your headlights.

Leave your headlights alone. I like that look much better than the painted ridges (former owner of painted ridge style whistlers)

Because the look dead on just doesn't look right or good. From an angle they look good but dead on it looks funny. I don't know how to explain it.
