Default Cleaning under the hood... (watch out 56k.)

How do you guys keep your engine bay clean? I purchased my T/A a few months ago after my formula got hurt... and the engine bay IS CLEAN as HELL!!! The strut towers shine, NO RUST. the only rust is the exhaust manifolds. Everything else is silver or black

I want to know, how can I keep it as clean as it is?

I would just spray it off with water and wipe it down and then use somethin like cd2 engine detailer on it. I wouldnt hit it with simple green unless you need to but it looks clean enough to just wipe it down.

You can find an excellent engine bay cleaning "how-to" here...it's from the "Hall of Fame" sticky...written by our Sir Bling-A-Lot.

i usually put my car on ramps and spray the motor top and bottom with simple green "automotive". then i will wash the fender wells, under the hood and radiator support areas like i wash the rest of the car. when the car is all dried i polish the fuel rails and ac lines with mothers billet polish

With an LT1, watch out with the water. Optisparks and water don't like each other.
