I like the idea of blue w/ orange but i dont think the colors came out too great on the pictures you did. The orange to me needs to be a little more red than yellow, and i would darken the blue a shade of 2. Interesting design though. Though about painting the mirrors the orange? Or maybe some small stripes going back on the hood?

I like it, haven't seen that color combo much and the layout looks great. I will agree that the "orange" needs a bit more red in it, looks like yellow to me.

I'm a big fan of royal blue, and this shade closely matches what I'm looking to achieve. I did try a darker orange, but it really threw off the blue.

I considered doing the mirrors orange, but I don't want them to stick out. Matching roof halos and mirrors is a Camaro thing anway

I also considered some sort of stripe on the hood, but I prefer the solid blue over anything that would break it up. I even considered a Pontiac arrowhead at the front of the car in orange that turns into a stripe running down the center of the hood. I'm not a Firebird fan because it's a Pontiac. I like them because of the styling (and Chevrolet power)

Thank you! I'm going for a simple look that is still eye-catching. Elaborate striping tends to get a dated look rather quickly, and I don't want it to look silly 10 years from now. Plus the simple design will be easier on my wallet when the time comes to paint the car.

are you going to get a pin strip between the two colors to break them up? like a 3rd color to match them? BTW nice job on the coloring, looks cartoonish!!

You know I never gave that a thought. Now that you mention it, that does sound like a good idea. If I were to choose a color for that, I'd probably go with red.

I'm trying for something cool, but not overly expensive. As I mentioned above, complex graphics tend to look dated quicker.

Noob question. What does the "push off" mean. I've seen it on another car.

That's the battery cut-off switch. The battery has been relocated to the rear of the car. Pushing it in breaks the circuit. It's a safety item in case of a racing accident. It's easily accessible to any track personnel/safety crew that would need to kill the power to your car.

How about you paint it that blue color, and then do the CETA type graphix but in yellow? Looks cleaner, and simpler

I like the idea, but personally, I wouldn't do the thin blue stripes along the length of the car.

I'm trying to avoid any factory-inspired graphics. Besides, I've never been a fan of the CETA side graphics.

I'm finding there are a lot of people not fond of my color choices. I guess I must have wierd taste.

Funny you should mention that....I added the blue stripes towards the end of my early-on concept. Without them, the car just looked like it was missing something.

Thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions. I'm years away from actually painting the car, so there is plenty of time to bat ideas around.

I like the your making it stand out, sure looks fast that paint scheme makes it look faster! a black pi strip between the 2 colors will give it a 3rd dimension and make the paint job pop a bit more.
