Default VFN hood adverstised weights (on the moon?)

I got my VFN hood today 2 in cowl Camaro bolt on. Advertised on the VFN site at 20lbs but here on earth with gravity working against us it's 25lbs. Lil annoying when I'm watching every pound for weight savings not to mention that IS the purpose for buying it in the 1st place. If it's 25 lbs fine advertise it as such. Other than that it's a fine piece indeed cant wait to install it.

Wow so I guess most of you guys dont mind a product advertised as one thing and you get another? It's a nice hood (as I stated) but it seems there would be no complaints if it were 5lbs LESS than what's on the site right? Gimme a break all I am stating is if it's 25 lbs then list it as such period. Anybody wanna buy a heavy stock SS hood? LOL

While we are on the subject, anyone know what a stock hood weighs and how much weight is saved by switching to said 20-25lb hood?

Actually the moon's gravity is only 1/6th that of the Earth's so it would weigh 120lbs here

That being said, I agree with you. VFN should be familiar with their own products and advertise them as such

*Disclaimer: VFN still has a quality product

I agree with you 90%. Listing a weight that is inaccurate is wrong and they should fix it, BUT, I don't think you needed to come on here and make a whole thread dedicated to it. You easily could have PM'd VFN about it and gotten everything fixed up. Why make such a big deal over really nothing?

....... I hope your joking......

I think "Lying" is a bit of a strong word here. Maybe their scale said it was 20 and his said it is 25. it is possible to have 2 different scales weigh something as 2 different weights. I work in the freight industry and it happens EVERY DAY. I think what they need to do is put the word "Estimated" in front of weight. They didn't lie at all.

Furthermore, this is not the appropriate forum for this. This forum is for appearance stuff not hood weights.
