the base looks like it could have used a little more prep work but once its put in there you probably will never notice it. aside from that looks good.

im still trying to decide if i want to paint mine or not and have yet to make up my mind i made a post not long ago about it and posted a poll but no one even posted in it.

Nevermind the prep work. Did you even clean it before-hand?

You should have sanded down all of the casting marks and gotten that thing pretty smooth before touching it with paint. After painting it then wetsand and polish..

Re-sand it. Use a dremel with some thin circular sheets of sand paper to get in the hard to reach crevices. Sand so that it is smooth at around 800 grit I'd say. Put a thin coat of primer and wetsand. Another coat of primer and wetsand. Lay your black coat on but again, a very thin coat. Apply another thin coat and then another. Wetsand with 2000 grit sand paper and lay several coats of clear coat and wetsand with the highest grit you can find. Try using Duplicolor spray paints, they apply on so well compared to Rust-o-leum.

Hey bro, I clicked on your link below.

Sorry about your boy. It looked like you had a lot of fun times together too. I wasn't really paying attention to the lyrics but the Chorus's caught me. Very inspiring. Keep the faith and live for God.

Was that his son at the end?

Take care
