Show me some pics of gauges down by the lighter. Will a 2-5/8" gauge fit down there?

do u mean replacing the cubby thing with a pod?? or just next to it?

That looks like a 2-1/16" to me.
If you want to see if a 2-5/8 will fit down there (it will be a tight fit) cut a circle out of cardboard/construction paper and mock it up.

That's just a pretty 2 1/16th light show, otherwise known as a narrowband Air/fuel ratio... there are some 2 5/8 gauges out there though, I'll see if I can find any pics, if I recall, you have to make additional cuts, not just cover the cubby hole...
