96/97 SS spoiler vs 98+ SS spoiler Does anyone have any comparison pics of these 2? Maybe the cars parked beside each other...
IMO, the spoilers look almost the same except for the newer one having the spokes.
Or is the older version a little shorter?
I want something better than the stock Z28 spoiler... but I don't want to spend big bucks on the 98+ spoiler when the 96/97 is only $130 from SLP.

the 98-02 ss spoiler is a different design all together. the 97 ss spoilers are the same design as the Z28/v-6 spoiler, except with a little added fiberglass (or some type of added material) for the raised lip, while the 98-02 ss spoiler is a completely different design, and does not resemble a Z28 spoiler at all......if you look closely at pictures (do a search) you will notice that the 96-97 ss spoiler is the same as the Z28 spoiler but with added material, while the newer version is raised throughout.....and also has a different brake light on it. IMO the 98-02 SS spoiler kicks so much more *** than the 96-97's........I thik you will get that response from about 90% of the people who reply to this thread.

I got my SS spoiler from Ebay (thespoilercompany) and it's looks just like OEM without the high price.
Don't know if they are still selling it but you also have spoilerdirect that is currently selling one on Ebay.

trust me, if you see them in person, or even a picture of them side by side you will see how much higher the 98-02 is....and how much of a different design it is......
