Default Need something to get dirt off rims

My rims are getting caked with dirt on the pits of the spokes and in between the rivets. I have the riveted motorsport rims (see sig). Is there some strong degreaser I can use that will get down deep and break loose all that dirt? I can't fit a claybar in there to do the job and a simple washrag doesn't even phase it.

I would get some spray cleaner such as Awesome, Simple Green, etc.
Then, get a plastic brush with a handle to help clean away some of that grime.
Hit it again with some water and call it a day.

To make it easier down the road, i would do the above. When the wheels are nice and dry, spray your wheels with a spray detailer and polish them. The wax on the wheels will act as a barrier to help in keeping that grime off your wheels. You should only have to spray your wheels off the next time, since their coated with that wax. Hope that helps- you have some nice rims!

yeah thanks for the info! I have simple green but have never used it. I heard it can cause discoloration? Is that true?

I've never had any color issues with it. Your rims should be powdercoated. If that's the case, Green can't fade ya!

But just incase, dilute it
Simple Green, as it comes from the store, is concentrated as crap. I use over a half a bottle of water and my Polished Z06s are still looking good as new. You can dilute the absolute **** out of Simple Green and it keeps working like a charm
