Default Correct 98 Trans Am Seats?

Looking at a 98 Trans Am and just wondering about these seats, I haven't seen other firebirds with these seats.

Non adjustable lumbar and side bolsters. But they are Firebird seats . . .

I think all Trans Ams had lumbar control, so there should be 2 more rectangle switches on the side, plus the hard backing that this car does not have. The back of TA seats (LS1 style at least) has the map holder on the back of the seat that goes with the hard plastic backing. As far as I know, this is only on lumbar seats

I guess they ARE the same seats, but without the hard plastic back...

My '98 Trans Am doesnt have the map holder or hard plastic on the back of the seats, so that's not true for all LS1s. They look identical to the ones that the original poster asked about.

Incorrect! Some TA's have the seats pictured. Mine is a 98 WS6 and has those seats so it might just be the older (98-99) models.

Yep, my 98 WS6 has those seats too. It's the only option that my car doesn't have without the lumbar supports.

From what I've seen... mine '98 Trans Am and my brother's '98 Z28 most definitely have the soft back seats, the exact ones that are in the original poster's pictures.
