Default Window cleaners

Does anyone have a good window cleaner that can remove water spots? My buddy bought his BMW from an area with a lot of oil refineries, Baton Rouge, LA, and has water spots all over the windows as a result of acid rain. Nothing he uses will remove the spots. Any ideas?
