Default New Superhawk Pics

Just put on my new hood yesterday. The front has a huge gap around the lights and the bumper, but i think that is due to the fact that the truck probably knocked the front out of place. Once i get the new headlight lids put on and aligned and the bumper repainted and lifted alittle there should be no gap at all.

Also, in the pics youll notice that the rectangle that is cut behind the grills is directly infront of the clips that hold the air box shut. You guys think a good air intake would be to hook up that rectangle directly to a cutout rectangle in the airbox, instead of just letting air creep in from the slit under the box like it does now. I figure there is a shitload of air going through those nostrils now, may as well stick it all in the engine, correct???

Sorry for the incredibly glarey (sp?) pics. Car should be in the shop this week gettin all fixed up and then much better ones will be posted.

This is the rectangle behind the nostrils i was talking about

It lines up directly to the front wall of the box with the clips

If you look through the grill you will see the clips

I love how nice it looks where the nostrils meet the bumper. Looks factory.

BTW is that a sixer or a formula? Nice car!

I'm just going to add the ram air lower assembly to mine which should put it more in direct line with the cut out and then I won't have some home made thing they may or may not look right. Just my .02

You could always get the Volant air intake which pretty much just replaces the lid with a big filter.

Nice looking hood, it looks like there are some pretty bad scratches and marks on the nose.

If you don't end up buying some new type of intake, you could always just paint the clips black. Then you prolly wouldn't even notice them looking in through the nostrils. BTW that hood looks bad ***

He doesnt make f-body hoods that often but you can catch a few every once in a while on ebay. And yes, he makes viper hoods too i think.

Yea a truck pretty much dominated my front end on the way to my internship at port newark seaport. Those two long horseshoe scratches right around the nose I have no idea where they came from lol.

Im going to try to make something custom that resembles the volant air intake. Volant is a little expensive but if i cant make custom look good then ill have to sacrifice the money.

i was going to cut that same rectangular box with my harwood ss hood. I think its a good idea. Im sure there is a little more air coming through, every bit counts.
