Default Window Tint

The previous owner of my T/A did a ****-poor job of tinting the rear window. Looks like a roll on and it's not even all the way to the edge. It's that deep purple color you see on a 17-year-olds civic. Is there a way of removing it without damaging the rear defroster? This is on a convertible top, by the way. I'm told that if I want to just replace the rear window I'd have to almost get a whole new top.

you may want to try a heat gun, and warm the tint up from the outside, and then peel it back slowly..
