Aluminum Cleaner that gets rid of stains?
Anyone got any recommendations for an aluminum cleaner that removes stains from polished aluminum? My buddy used Bleechwhite on his Harley's tires and the bleechwite put some stains on his polished aluminum rims. Any ideas on what to remove it with?

I've also used this stuff called Wenol. Works great. I actually polished my tail pipes on my old 67 Camaro to almost a mirror shine.

The stuff in Bleachwhite isnt anything to shake a stick at. I would try something like Mother polish, it's a cleaner/protectant. If the cleaner doesnt get rid of the stains you may need some advice from a rim shop. You can stain your rims permanetly with a rim cleaner thats too strong, kinda creepy.

I tried Flitz yesterday on my BC Smoothies and it cleaned them but I still have little oil stains that look like water spots only they are copper colored. I even tried a second time and the Flitz wont remove the stains.
So my question is what really works?

If you need to get serious with the polishing, you can buy a kit that attaches to an electric drill. Use different compounds to get a "machine quality" polish job.
Sometimes the stains are actually etched into the aluminum and you have to remove some material to get them out. Hand polishing doesn't really get the job done.
Tell your friend to use a shield over the rim when he sprays the tire with Bleche-White.

mothers billet aluminum polish will get it off...i accidentally sprayed some of that stuff on my non-cleared polished wheels and got the same thing. when you feel like your arm is going to fall off from polishing so much, they should be good to go.
