camaro custom gauge pods.... ok, not in the cubby hole by the shifter, not in the ashtray.
t/as are lucky, they can put the gauges in the ac vents
where else can i mount them? (i know about the pillar pod)
something little diff....
ac vent done by anyone?

i saw that molded one, but i think its too low. not very user friendly. i want it easy to glance at..not look down then BOOM, crash into car in front of me...

Its not in a Camaro but would fit. Fabbed this up a while back. Mounts with a stock radio mounts screw and a dash pad screw just inside the glove box door. Still gives plenty of clearance for the cup holder and air bag deployment.

Well, since the roof is about the only place you did NOT name 
...
Try this, get a Mustang pod:
and mount it on your dash (on top of the center air vents basically). With a little trimming it will sit flush. I've seen it on here before but can't find the pic now...
Or use this Mustang one:
and make it fit your steering wheel (might be easier to just use an a-pillar pod on there though).

Thanks guys for the comments on the vent pod. I didn't even know people have done this when I did this. That was over 2 years ago. It's after I did it that I searched on here and saw that many were talking about it. The customer already had three gauges on a pod, and Camaros aren't blessed with the T/A style dash center vents, so this was the next logical place. All it is is a sheet of aluminum bent on both sides and it clips onto the vent tabs. Took some time to get it shaped and cleaned up ('cos I didn't have a sheet metal break at my disposal so it's all hammering and sanding, but I think it was worth it. I was also lucky that the it wasn't a larger dia. gauge housing. A larger dia. housing wouldn't have let us do this 'cos it wouldn't leave enough room above and below the vent to make the pod one single piece and I didn't want to modify the vent housing just in case he wanted to return it to stock. So take note when ordering your gages and use a smaller gage that's not as important as the others you'll have at eye level. Here's a couple more I've played around with ...

I started working on something last February and worked on and off for a while.
It has come a long way but still has some imperfections, as you will see in the pics.
Here's what I've been working on:
(I tried to angle the light to emphasize what needs to be fixed.)
This is only my second time working with fiberglass. I used online how-to's to help me out.
Input is greatly appreciated.

It took tons of fiberglass work to move it to the mid.
