I am putting a bolt on fiberglass hood on my car. I think the stock hood struts will be too strong and might flex the hood. I am thinking about removing one or replacing them with a single billet support. Lokar had a prototype that had a tube with variable height adjustment holes, but I cannot find it on their website.

Does anyone have a good solution?

they make lower pressure gas shocks. I was reading a catalog that had them but dont recall the manufacturer

find some really used/worn out shocks from the salvage yard
cheap solution to low pressure shocks
