No, the LS1 SS spoiler has a LED brake light & two posts that rest on the trunk. The LT1 SS spoiler doesn't. And they slop up differently but either will fit on a '93-'02 Camaro.

They are both pretty easy to find, but i think there are more after market companies making the LS1 SS spoiler than the 96/97. I prefer the newer because I'm an LED *****.

I just bought a 98-02 spoiler... here's the difference:

The 93-97:

The 98-02:

Both pictures were taken from the same distance away at the same angle... The 93-97 spoiler is significantly thicker than the 98-02...

Here's a pic of my '97 SS. I'm sure you know what a 98-02 spoiler looks like.

OEM LS1 style SS spoilers weigh a ton compaired to the Z-28 spoilers, just got one on my convertible Z and the trunk struts barely support it now.

the LT1 SS spoiler looks like a stock Z28 spoiler with downsyndrom. The LS1 SS spoiler however is very sexy.

Does anyone have any good pictures showing the difference between a 1997 Z/28 spoiler and a 1997 SS spoiler? I just bought a 1997 SS Camaro (yes it's white) but it doesn't have the factory spoiler. It's got an aftermarket one on it and I want to put a stock one on it. Then I'll try to sell the aftermarket one for whatever I can get. I also need to pull out the Q-logic dual 12” subwoofers and 1000-watt Kenwood amp and sell that too. At my age the wing and subs are just not for me.

Thanks for any info.

Art.
