Default What can I do about this?????(pics)

First off I rescued the car from the crusher. It has been wrecked and fixed. Its got a repaired title. The passanger side airbag deployed and someones face or from the impact tweaked the dash. That cover over the airbag is a little warped. The gap between the dash and the pillar is pretty noticable when the door is shut. Ive never had the dash off to see what kind of supports hold it on. Is there brackets that it mounts? Hve they been bent? I don't know. I found a deal on a dash that the airbags haven't been deployed, should i get it? Any help is appreciated.

Good deal on the used dash? Unless it's a really good deal, I'd go with the tv monitor there. Either way, you'll likely have to pull the dash out. Looks like when the passenger air bag blew, it might have bent the dash supports underneath.

Where safety is concerned, I'm not sure that replacing the dash and airbags with used ones is any safer than not replacing the airbag at all. When it comes to airbags, my opinion is original, new, or none at all. Only new if the original ones already went once. There are a lot of associated airbag equipment that likely would need to be replaced to make the system functional anyway.

used bags are just as good either they have been deployed or are good there is no repacking them. i had a 96 z28 i bought wrecked with the bags popped replaced both bags and module for 150 from ebay.

on to the question pull the old bag out along with the glove box and look around see what you can see and if there might be anything you can do to fix the gap then replace the dash
