Door Panel Lighting
Hello all! I'm looking to replace these practically useless lights in the door panel of my '01 Trans Am. It looks like L.E.D is the way to go, but where can I buy a direct replacement for the #74 bulbs? I'm thinking Red instead of White. I want a plug and play bulb. The main goal here is more usable light for the window switches. Can someone point me to where I can buy these? Can I pick these up at Autozone or is this something I need to get off the Net? Part #'s would be appreciated. Thanks...

from what ive seen theres no direct plug and play replacement (unless ls1camaroguy87 knows something that i dont) but i did do LEDs in there and it worked ok on the drivers side, but for some reason doesnt work on the passenger side. ive seen a few others on here with the same problem. Its because the light doesnt shine directly out of the opening, since the space is so tight they have a piece of clear plastic that the light shines into and it reflects out the opening. since LEDs have a narrower light pattern it doesnt work as well.
