ss or z28 hood
my friend just informed me that some people claim that the z28 hood looks nicer and/or more badass than the ss hood. as far as im concerned, anyone that claims they like the z28 hood better is just jealous because they dont have an ss. i honestly just can imagine how anyone thinks the z28 looks better. anyone else have any input on this?

Its a matter of opinion, different strokes for different folks. Personally, I think the Z28 hood is too plain. SS, ultra-Z, etc look much better. But again, that is just MY opinion!

i understand different people like different things, which is why i could understand a debate on aftermarket hoods, but as far as the stock hoods go theres a reason they changed it when they made the better version of the car which costs more money.

everytime i seen my car with the stock hood, i thought it looked too plain...it made a huge difference when the ss hood was put on...made it look a lot better

yeah any upgrade over stock is good!! the SS hood is really nice. i gotta Z28, and honestly im seeing rice rockets with hoods just like the SS. honestly, there are some bad a$$ looking Z28 on here without SS hoods!! i think the whole Z28 with adding an SS spoiler and hood is kinda played out!! im going with a sunoco hood and freedom spoiler for my Z! the lines of the camaro are just plain and sleek, so thats why just having a plain hood isnt so bad.

I bought and SLP SS hood for my Z28. There was no other option for me. In my opinion, it's a work of art. Didn't throw on the SS spoiler though (not trying to clone an SS).

z28 hood is just the same as a V6 hood i mean. . . .honestly it's just a factory punched pos . . . .i could get one for 50 bucks off of a wreaked car if i wanted too, any hood is better than factory flat. . .but thats just my opinion.

I just had a little ole accident. I am planning on having the shop swap an SS hood for the stocker. I think a vert Z with the SS hood looks SICK! Nice to see there are fans of the hood swap. Normally you just hear "RICE!"
I am also planning on leaving the front plate and frame left off and getting a fill to match the rear. Should make a huge difference in the appearance of the Z.
