Default Hood painting???

It's Sunday & no paint & body shops are open today & i am considering buying an SS hood.
Question is, what does it normally run to strip, paint, clear coat a hood??
Anything i can do to save money? I know absolutely nothing about wet sanding etc.....
thanks!

I was quoted about $450 to have that done, assuming the hood isn't damaged (About $200 more).

Yeah, expect to pay 4-5 hundred to have it done right. I paid about $450.

I just dropped my car and my VFN fiberglass SS hood off to get painted this morning. I have a written estimate for $371.
It includes:
-SOM Base Coat/Clear Coat Top
-SOM Base Coat Bottom
-Color match/Blending the fenders and nose
-Car Cover

This is at a top notch paint shop.
