welp, I finally had HID fogs installed on both of my vehicle's...
I will never have anything else..
these are 100 times better than Halogen lamps...
My wife had complained about not being able to see at night,
Now she says it's like driving during the day with them...

Do the foglights on camaro even help any? Maybe mine are not aimed properly.. but with just the parking lights on.. I turn the fogs on.. and it barely lights up anything, to be honest. A little of the edges of the road.. and maybe a foot beyond the front-end (a foot from me sitting inside)

Are you speaking of the Halogen lamps..
If so then yes, they are better then the halogen lamps..
I think it has a lot to do with the fog lights being projector type housings..

On my Escalade they are actually brighter then the headlamps..

Take a picture at night, from the camera within the car, showing the differences, if you could

Best thing I can do is take a pic after..
and then you can take a pic of yours, and compare..

I will try and get that done tonight..
