my car was keyed today! :(
I have proggressive insurance, do any of you know if they will paint whole cr or try to fix a part of it?
The person keyed all the way from the front fender close to the hood to just behind the rear tires!
You can see the metal in the door and rear fender. On the front fender where it is plastic you can see the grains.
it is a day today. Those bastards! The bad thing is I didn't even **** anyone off someone just randomly did it.

Sorry to hear that. I've been down the same road with one of my other cars. I'm sure different insurance companies compensate differently for that.

F***ing low lifes!
Sorry to hear this.
I would rather someone randomly walk up and punch me in the face. Atleast that way I can fight back.

Re: my car was keyed today! :(
I with ya buddy. Mine was keyed to, one on the door, and one on the rear quarterpanel, so not as bad as yours. I haven't done anything about it. I can't afford to repaint it so I think I'm just gonna leave it. I have no other choice, I guess it's a "scar" that says "I've already been keyed f*ckface."
Maybe I can buff it out
I found out who the guy was, he also drives a Camaro but it's a V6. When I saw his car I slashed all of the tires. This guy keyed about 10 other cars too, some of my friends, so I called them over and since I couldn't hurt the Camaro body itself, my friends had some fun with bricks and bats. Even with all the damage done to his car, it wouldn't total the damage he did alone. Next time we see his car we will do it again

Re: my car was keyed today! :(
That sucks! I had my entire car keyed and tire slashed 3 weeks ago. I should be getting it back this Friday from the shop with some extras so it wont be too bad. Comprehensive covers this since it wasn't a collision but I know my insurance company did not want to shell out almost $4k for a paint job. The scumbag keyed every panel on my car except for the roof and front fender....

Re: my car was keyed today! :(
I am pretty sure that they will only try to fix what is keyed. If you want to get a whole paint job you might want to continue the keying of the whole car and tell them that the entire car got keyed. I am not saying you should do that but its a suggestion.

People just can't stand to see someone have something half decent. I have a decent line scratch across my left rear quarter and it pisses me off so bad. I can't imagine my whole car getting keyed, I'd be out for blood. I have the sensitivity of my car alarm at it's highest now. Damn thing goes off everytime someone drives by, but better safe than sorry.

Re: my car was keyed today! :(
My friend parked his brand new Gt at walmart last week, he even parked way out in the back (probably why it happened) but some random ******* came up to his driver's side door took some gum, and stretched it all over the driver's side of his car, it was a pain in the *** to clean since it was so hot and it got all gooey.

If after getting an estimate from a shop to repair the damage and it's not terribly expensive to get done I would suggest paying for it yourself to avoid a claim against your insurance.

Re: my car was keyed today! :(
well, I took it by and they are going topaint the whole side/hood/front end and blend the rest. Should I have them paint it all? or will the clear coat that they put all over the car make it look like it was painted too?

Hey, thats why your paying for insurance. Use it. Let the insurance carrier take care of it (minus the deductable).

That sucks, but listen!!! An insurance claim is an insurance claim to the insurance companies
Anyways, if you can afford it, pay for it yourself. If you move and have to use a different insurance company down the road, you'll be glad you had no claims against your insurance. It doesn't matter to those bloodsuckers, whether it was your fault or not.
