Default starting my Berger panel

just got my used panel and I am wondering what grade of sand paper u guys used to buff it up and what type of paint should I get to paint it, is it called flat black or what? Also do most people just take off there old emblems and put them on there new berger panel or do they get new ones or just leave them off?

well i think its satin black and i dont know if you are suposed to sand and buff satin black. i used gloss black and clear then when i was done i wet sanded it with 1500 then 2000 and used my porter cable polisher to buff it out. i used duplicolor gloss black and clear as paint wise. click on my f quick link for a bunch of pics.

you could just use a red scotch bright pad, and just go with a satin black... but make sure you have no shiney spots left after sanding and use a good cleaner be for painting it...

I used an SOS pad with the soap in it and scuffed it up real nice, be sure to scuff real good inside the letters, and I just taped around the emblems.

If you have the little orange bowtie leave the center the color of the car like it is now, I think it looks sweet.
