I've never heard of that before. How exactly does it do this?

I have personally never seen it doesn but I have heard of that myself...... BUT from what I hear the trick to it is the metal you put it on must be hot or at least warm b/c it usually works best on hoods. I have never tried it mainly b/c I dunno where to get dry ice.

id like to know more too...

so youre saying that you heat up the metal and then put dry ice on it?

Ive heard of this, and theres an ice cream shop around my house that sells dry ice. heres what i know about it. obviously...dry ice is really cold. this will only work on small dents mind you. but take the ice and wrap it in a towel/cloth. im not sure if it matters if the metal is hot or cold, but id imagine the warmer the better, but i dont know if id actually heat it up either. then you rub the ice on it and the metal contracts. and you can use a suction dent puller too to help. im not positive in this, but i had a friend (painter) tell me a little about it.

from a Physics standpoint this makes sense. I'd also say to apply the dry ice to the metal after the car has been baking in the sun for while.

Go to your local grocery store and ask when they get their perishable truck in. They pack dry ice on the ice cream, and other frozen goods to keep em that way on the truck ride. They usually just dump the dry ice on the ground or in the dumpster. Just ask the manager to save you a box full, he probably will. Pop your dent out, make sure the metal is HOT though. Then with the rest of the dry ice have fun and put it in a plastic coke bottle with some warm water, screw the cap on freakin quick and make sure its on tight. THEN THROW FAR!! Don't hold it in your hand because you will go
J your friendly produce manager.
