Default Cleaning up the engine bay

have a 2002 LS1 transplant out of Z28. I bought the new GM valve covers and some brackets from Nasty performance to move the coils up high. I also purchased some billet fuel rails and plan on painting the intake the color as the body. My question is what can I/need to get rid of off my current (stock) setup?

I want to go from this:

to more like this:

It's going to take a hell of a lot to get 'em to look like that!

Cool motor in the pics has the accesories mounted a different way, I think that's how they do it in the Vette, with the alternator at the top.

Also, WTF is up with that power steering resivor cap??? Mine doesn't look anything like that, it has orange letters saying something like "power steering fluid".

That's what they give you at the dealer when you buy a new pump.

After checking out some other set-ups, It looks like some of it is AIR and EGR related. I just need to find out how to plug some of the stuff that leads back into the intake and throttle body.

well the EGR can be deleted by running an LS6 manifold, but you say that you have an 02 LS1 so it should already have the EGR deleted. the AIR is deleted simply by getting either racing headers or get block off plates for the stock exhaust manifolds.

that other car seems to have the corvette accessory positioning, and the coil packs relocated. plus its cleaner. ROFL

intake manifold is painted, fuel rails are polished, oil filler cap is a breather (mini air filter), throttle cable has a braided cover, and all other hoses are braided stainless steel.

thats not anything you cant do.

EDIT: those arent stock fuel rails, the crossover is in the back rather than over the top of the manifold. ive seen those before in some of the nicest engine bays on ls1tech.

heres a couple of other nice lsx motors...
