ss hood versus sunoco style hood
im not sure whether to get a original ss hood and spend over 1k for a new one or get a sunoco style hood for about 560 if anyone out here has a sunoco hood let me know if you were happy with the purchase or not. im new to the site so i dont know how to get a poll started.

I like the look of the sunoco personally, but the ss is definitely a looker also.. I say get some more input from some experienced guys and then make a good decision...
If the fit is good with the sunoco I'd go that route and put the extra cash that you have into some mods

SS Hood definitely...no one has that.... very rare.
Who would want a Sunoco Hood anyways?
I think they look dumb.
Dont ever pay more then $700 for a hood. Ever.
Mine got damaged in shipping so make sure its shipped right & insured.
If you can get one locally or pick it up, do it.
VFN, and other places sell both SS Hood's with a 3" rise (better looking then stock Ram Air hood, which is junk for performance anyways) and many others too.... like thier patented Sunoco.
Prices range from $500-$600, for a brand new fiberglass hood.
Website: http://www.vfnfiberglass.com
Click on catalog, then 93-02 Camaro, and youre in.
Good luck man.
And yes, thats a Sunoco Hood on my LT1.

New slp hoods are going for over a thousand and if i were to go with a ss hood id rather go with a original and preferably new. but if could find a good used one of course i would go with the bargain. And im not to sure whether i would want a replica ss hood
