Default A few paint care questions

Anyone know of a way to get a leaded race gas saint out of the clear coat besides wet sanding??? Clay bar maybe???

I used some cleaner wax and it did nothing.

Also how does cleaner wax compare to clay baring?

Now that I have my own garage and plenty of room I am thinking about getting more into detailing.

Untill now I have just used Meguiers cleaner wax, then the show car wax stuff, then NXT and had nice results.

Do you guys think I should switch over to clay baring?

This is above steps but I was in a hurry.

Lastly how bad is it for the above products to be left in a garage over winter in a state that gets below freezing at night quite a bit during the winter?

I forgot it was all out there

I would try the clar bar first. If that doesn't work I would find someone that knows how to use a rotary buffer (if you don't) and try that. After that wet sand. If the products got frozen I would replace them.

Clay barring only removes surface contaminants like grit, brake dust, and road tar. It will do absolutely nothing for chemical damage to the paint or clear coat.

I was asking if its worth it to go from cleaner wax to clay baring.

I know a paint and body guy that said he can see what he can do with a polisher then maybe wet sand.

I have never used a "cleaner" wax but I'm guessing it has some abrasives in it. If thats the case it might be fairly equal to the claybar??
