Default Cleaning Undercoating

What can I use to clean the undercoating of my car, I noticed some cars have this black underneath, was it an option? I tried cleaning it but noticed my towel was turning black from rubbing on it, I do not want to rub it off...any suggestions...??

Thanks

hi this is what i do, if it's already clean or the dirt/mud is cleaned off i take some clear plastic polish (black chrome ) or like that and apply the polish with a paint brush, it looks like new coating, i have a garage queen and a quick lift and it makes it easier gl

Would you use back to black from mothers? What brand do you use?

i dont see why youd have the clean the undercoating. if its actual undercoating, then its a rubberized spray to protect the underbody from elements, road grime, etc. its made to get dirty, as apposed to the metal underneath it getting dirty. unless you show the bottom of the car, just hose it down when you can. doesnt need anything else.
