Default What bulbs fit in stock 99 T/A housing (HID mod)

im looking to buy an HID kit and either buying the eurolamps conversion or removing the old bulbs from my stock headlights. does anyone know if an H4 bulb will work with the stock headlight or do i need an H7 or 9006??? i have a spare H4 HID kit here but im not sure if they will work with the stock housing.

will post pics up of everything when its all done

The factory headlights are sealed beams. The eurolamps use H7 bulbs.

There's a sticky on here somewhere that addresses this issue. Sorry but I don't remember exactly where but there isn't that many stickies so search you'll find it.

When you remove the factory bulb, it's the entire light, you can then cut out the filament and cement in another bulb, but best of luck doing that. The eurolamp conversion does this for you, but has a mount for a H7 bulb.

Here's a writeup on doing it to a camaro sealed beam light. But the process would be the same for you:

You can find more links and info in the Lighting FAQ:
