Antenna Alternatives

Antenna Alternatives
I was wondering what some people have done (or ideas...) with deleting the antenna? I plan on filling the hole/shaving it but not sure what to do with the antenna.
I have one idea but wondering if it would work...when I was into Fieros I saw a guy on the Fiero forum shave the antenna hole but since the Fiero antenna is located on the front fender the guy just simply turn the mounting bracket sideways and hide the antenna in the fender and it still worked. Do you think this is possible with a Firebird (where does the antenna line run through...)??? Here is a link to the thread i'm talking about with the Fiero ---> http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/025998-3.html scroll down to see it
Or what other alternatives do I have that will have the antenna hidden but still work/good reception? Thank you

The "hidden antennas" that stick on the glass, while they're hidden and sound like a good idea, SUCK!!!! My dad bought one for his street rod and it didn't work that well. He had it laying around the barn and when I shaved the antenna on my 98 Sonoma, I figured I'd use it since it was just there collecting dust. Dad hadn't mounted it on the glass like you're supposed to so I figured this was his problem. I put it on the upper passenger side corner of the rear window. I barely got any radio stations. I had to be super close to where they were broadcasting from to pick anything up. If you live in a city, they'll probably be great, but if you live in the country, might as well not even have an antenna.
