painting interior
I'm thinking about painting my interior. It's black leather, but I just want to do accents in silver (my car is silver and black). If I do this, I want to paint the area around the radio, part of the vents, and maybe the speakers, but only if I have the spare sets of it all, since that is what I would be painting. (And yes I have done my "research" and seen some nice examples) what is the best way to go about this? Also, where would be the easiest and cheapest place to get these parts?
Any ideas would be appreciated. <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

God.. can't believe I know this <img src="images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">
3M makes a paint and primer/etcher specifically for plastic interior parts. Your best bet is to contact a local body shop and find out where they get there supply from.
I change the interior color on my last mustang... to match my black Recaro's <img src="images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">

I can't help you with the painting part, but I can help with places to get the extra pieces. http://www.billygrahamscamaro.com Billy Graham's Camaro and Firebird salvage yard has every piece imaginable for the f-body. I know that Shawn Carter (aka ValveGod) also strips a lot of f-bodies, so you might contact him about it as well. His e-mail is valvegod@aol.com

Keep an eye on ebay - I just purchased the gauge trim and the radio trim for $5.00 each and the thing about it that makes it even sweeter is the radio piece came with the fog light and ASR switch still in it - those things are like $17 each.

I did a little searching, and I found some pics of a guy that painted some of his interior. Here is the link!

Jena,
I take it from the P'Tree City reference you live in Atlanta, or near there at least. At any rate, I had a few pieces of my '98 Trans Am painted by a local Body Shop. It's a true Base Coat, Clear Coat set-up so it looks just like the body panel paint on the exterior. If memory serves I was charged $250 have the following pieces painted.
Whisper Lid - Painted Black
Radio Bezel - Black
Gauge Cowl - Black
Corvette Fuel Rail covers - "Corvette" logo was filled with Rubberized bondo and painted Smooth Quicksilver Metalic. I think the above price included buying "Trans Am" door badges to mount on the Fuel rail covers as well.
At any rate, I got it done at a Pontiac dealership in Tucker that isn't there anymore.... I think they moved to Peachtree Industrial and 285...not sure.
