Default Aftermarket Seats

I am curious, are aftermarket seats like Corbeau, Recaro, Sparco and such more or less comfortable than a stock trans am seat? I know they have the purpose built of holding you in them better, but also are they more comfortable for a daily driver? Thanks!

i just installed a set of sparco torinos so i think i should step up to give info. to answer your question, yes they are more comfortable. they are far more supportive and you don't feel tired after a long ride. i'm about 5'9" ~210 pounds, 36" waist and it just fits me. if you are significantly smaller i would suggest sitting in it first, if you are any bigger, I'd also suggest the same because i fit snuggly, and my buddy who is larger than i does not fit comfortably. i adapted Scat brackets for my seats and it sits about stock, maybe lower by an inch or two.

its important to note the ingress, egress is difficult with aftermarket seats. if its your daily and you drive alot, it may get annoying. it is easy to slide in with the top off which is what i do in the summer, but be aware of that before making a purchase. i got mine because i go to school during the winter, and early spring months so my car is parked for that whole period so it doesn't really bother me, but i do see myself getting annoyed by this if i had them in there when i used to daily drive it and put 20k+ miles a year

i have some cloth corbeaus that i put in my camaro and i like them farrr better than the stocks. much more padding and comfort while holding you in better but the T/A seats have always been nicer than the camaros i think specially the 00-02 models.

I just put Recaro Speed seats in my car they are black suede with a navy blue insert. Its an incredible upgrade with so much more support! My one suggestion is to try and sit in it beforehand or something similiar. I was able to and it was important because I am 6'4 185lb I needed to know because like maybe some of you know not all seats are made the same. Too bad I got 2 days worth of driving out of them until my engine went!

I put in Corbeau A4's cause i hated sliding around in my leather buckets. Much better than stock Dont bother with the lumbar it pops. just put some foam in there to your likeing.
