Default New custom interior

Finally finished my interior install from the autoleathers.com group purchase.

I love it *now*, but when I first opened the box, I was like "man, that's *orange*..."

be gentle...

They look good! It's hard to tell from the pics how well the orange goes with the exterior of your car, but they look cool in the pics. I think the only thing I'm on the fence about is the Firebird Phoenix logo on the headrests. I like the idea of the logo on there, but I think they should've stitched the logo the same way it appears on the front bumper (the same style as the 2002 Collector's Edition headrests). I'm interested in getting seats like that, only with silver inserts. How difficult was the install and what was involved?

Thanks for the input guys...
Check out www.autoleathers.com to see all the color combos they've got.
Install was fairly straightforward, using mostly hog-rings & some glue, with only two 'gotchas'.
1. The plastic-backed TA seats required some stitching to attach the leather - my wife was able to do it easily, but I would have been SOL on my own.
2. The door inserts I took to an upholstery shop to do. There did not seem to be an easy way to take the panel apart and still be able to re-assemble it, so I just took it to a professional rather than screw it up myself...

That's not Orange, it's Tangerine!

Just kidding. I like it... alot. Looks really cool. Good job! I would have taken them in to get done too. That's one thing I wouldn't want to mess up, especially after paying big $$ for them.

That looks sweet. I can't wait for LS1tech to have another GP on this one.

I like it.. seems the shade might be better in a hugger orange car but I would have to see it in person to tell how well it goes with the SOM..

Looks to be very high quality though.. how do YOU like it?

I like the job with t he seats a lot, looks really professional. Only thing I would change is the one ac vent and 2 guages, I would go ahead and out another guage in there. But either way man, sweet car.

Thanks guys! I love the color now - it definitely gets a lot of attention.

Mobe - don't make me hurt you...

If the car wasn't a daily driver, I'd fill the last vent also...as it is, the one center vent has a hard time fighting the Texas summer heat...

I was a few cars behind you on I-35 this morning on the way to work. I was going to get up beside you and admire your brakes while you envied my cam. :p But... Traffic was hell, and I couldn't ever get close enough.

The group buy was ~$550...not sure on the regular price...I think it's in the ~$1000 range. :dunno:

Mobe - I didn't see you - can't believe I didn't *hear* you! Man, I still need a cam...soon...soon...

I have my seats installed, not the door panels yet. I am procrastinating on those, they look a bit harder. I was really impressed with the quality of these seats. I am going to see if autoleathers.com can cut me a deal on some leather for my truck since I bought some from them for my car. Anyway, your seats look great. Very original.

Something different...I like it. Different colors on the inserts rock.
