I have this plan when I tear apart my interior this winter and I was wondering if I could get some advice. How effective would it be to paint on the eDead v3 on the floorboard in lieu of having the jute pad on the bottom of the carpet? I want the same sound deadening, but if I can lose the 20lb or so of jute padding I will. Has anyone ever used this stuff?

Do a search in the stereo and electronics section. There is a website that tests all the different sound deadening materials and rates them. The best ones were Second Skin. I plan on using Second Skin on my car and Frost King also.
