Default Little bit of a change for my car...

Well it looks like I'm going to have a little bit of a change for my car coming up . I decided that I will probably remove my grand sport stripes and have a good quality set of sprewell stripes made out in vinyl. I did want it painted, but I was thinking what if something happened like the car was keyed ... re-painting the stripes would cost more to replace. I also haven't decided 100% on a color, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with black. Some other colors that I was possibly thinking: Hugger orange, gunmetal, Medium blue. So any comments good, bad, or neutral is welcome like ususal .

**Had to use my 1st editied pic since the 2nd one won't come up.

Yeah, i agree. Im not too much on Pewter/Silver cars, but that will look extremly good, imo.

You gonna do any kind of badging on the stripes? Like put LS1 or Z28 or something into 'em?

I'm planning to have "346" in the gap. And I really like how the Z06/ZL1 badge looks, so I'm thinking about getting the "LS1" version and replacing the Z28 ones with it.

Dangit, Kevin... looks like you're gonna beat me to the punch on the Sprewell stripes.
Do it though, it'll look good. I'd go with black.

...and I have another idea for my stripes, so don't feel bad for me, hehe.

Kevin,

BLack looks sweet on a Pewter car IMO. I love the hockey stick stripes on my Fathers Hot Rod Camaro. But I like longer stripe even more and think it would look sweet on your car.

Personally don't like that look. The one above on the Hot Rod car looks okay though. I'd get a SS hood and paint the scoop black with 346 CID decals on the sides? Oh wait, that is what I'll end up doing. The stripes you posted down the side just look out of place to me.

I like hockey stripes. Personally, I'd also replace that flat hood with something a bit more aggressive looking too. But of course, that costs $$.

Personally, I love hockey stripes on old school camaros, but on our cars...no way I think it looks terrible...if ne thing, I would just change the hood on ur car...love the Z0's have a set myself, but I do have a question, on the dish of the wheel (yes, I keep it very clean), bought them from AFS a coulple weeks ago, I have a white nasty rough like film on the dish, wtf is this, are u have ne tarnishing problems???

Thanx Kevin,

Checkout this edit I did:

I got the idea from some cars that I have seen before, although it isnt a copy cat.
Let me know what you think.

SS LS1 - Thanks for the pictures. I was looking for those (I knew you had them, just forgot where). I do have a question tho, are the stripes on the hot rod camaro painted on or vinyl?

VIP1 - Not bad, but seems a bit much to me with the stripe going onto the wing.

celerityZ - My original plan was to get an SS hood and have the stripes like the ZL1 camaro (Gloss stripe on the scoop, flat black in the scoop). But price wise I didn't want to pay for an SS hood, and then the fact that I'd rather keep the SS hood to SS's.

Bad 00 SS - I clean the inner dish every once and a while too . Mine dish was chromed pretty good and cleans almost as easy as the outside. I've seen a black pit here and their but not much, and I haven't noticed any tarnishing problems with my wheels. Maybe you recived bad chrome?

I dunno why, but I like the look of the stock hood with my car. Like on the hot rod camaro picture posted, I think it looks perfect the way it is. Suprized tony hasen't said anything yet...

I really don't care for the long hockey stripe like what Sprewell offers, the shorter stripe like the Hot Rod Camaro's have look better.JMO The black stripe does look good on the pewter Hot Rod Camaro, I almost bought one but I went with red with the white stripe instead.

Madice, I talked to the wheel company...they are willing to give me a free set...I think I may go ahead and procede in doing so because I clean the dish EVERY time I wash the car...sooo this should not be happening...and I not only clean the dish, being a 00 SS black car owner, I clean everything throughly...meanning I even go so far as to use a personal absorber on the ouside of the wheels and a seperate one for only the dish! lol...man I'm crazy!!!
