Question 4l80e slip yoke length?

I have the slip yoke here and am trying to figure where to cut it at. It is 8.75" roughly total length. From center line to end is about 8.00" I should have about .75-1.00" sticking out the end(i think) So how much should i cut tomorrow at work?

Thanks
Bill

I would test fit everything before you cut it.

I had about 1.5-2 inches sticking out of the tailshaft with the suspension loaded to give you an idea. It was definitely more than I expected.

im also going through this exact situation right now. What are you using to cut the slip yolk with? Mine is 8.125" from the center line of the u joint. I just found out it is too long. It looks like if I cut 1" off, it will work.
