Default M6>>A4 Shifter cable hole?

I've looked around and can't find an answer....

Did you guy have to drill a hole in the tunnel for the shifter cable? Or were you able to make it work by drilling a hole in your home made block off plate?

It looks to me like I'll have to drill a hole in the tunnel to get the proper angle for the cable....

Not sure if this will help you out. When I did mine I was able to cut the top section of a A4 car and mount it directly over the M6 hole. Which made things much easier to locate and mount the shifter unit, as well as cable location. I left the tab for the SDM intact and used it as the locator-index for front to rear position.

Sealed it up prior to installation for a water-air tight instasll. Now If I ever decide to go back to a M6 just a mater of unbolting it and installing the boot.
