new trans installed.. car wont start

Default new trans installed.. car wont start

anyone have any idea what could be going on?? 01 trans am 4l60e.. thanx in advance

it will crank but wont start.. its down at my uncles shop.. he owns a trans shop.. when cranking its pullin code po335 which i believe is the crank sensor circuit malfunction.. a new crank senssor was installed.. still the code..we also installed a new flexplate cuz mine was cracked..there are no pinched wires it was checked 2 times.. there is good fuel pressure .. no pulses on the fuel injectors..thanx

was the batt disconnected during the install? sounds like the crank sensor needs to re-learn...

yes.. it was disconnected.. how would the crank sensor relearn?? i know there is no signal from the sensor to the computer

the crank shaft sensor is above the starter i would double check to see that it is plugged in i have seen were people will damage these on simple starter changes it is easy to hit i have also seen people pull the wires out of the conector

well i knew it had something to do with the crank sensor lol glad you figured it out!

I've done it a few times. Make sure you do a crank relearn when you get it going.

HOGWASH!!!! He would have thrown code P1336, and the vehicle would still start and run, however firing one bank then the other, instead of the correct timing order.

Disconnecting the battery will NOT cause a crank sensor re learn, disconnecting the battery with the key left in the on position will.

really? cause i just did a convertor in my car with the batt disconnected and mine had to re-learn because it wouldnt stay running at first and i checked with my efilive scan and no codes. so explain that then....

no codes and the car is running fine.. if i throw the code ill have it relearned
