Very nice. I recently pulled a 1.42 60-ft with 16" DR's and a raceweight of 3,560-lbs with my Circle D 5C. I love this damn converter.

BTW - What was you previous 60-ft?

I've gotten a best of 1.55 out of my 5C converter. That's with 100% stock suspension and 255/50R16 mickey thompson street radials.

Love this converter

All my mods and times are in my sig. From what I've seen they are in line with Yank for quality, performance and effiency.

You can get the 4C in a single or multi disk.

2, 3, 4, 5 disk? I think some Vig's use 5 disks. I remember Pat's opening one up and a couple of them were burned up.

Is it furnace brazed? Seems I remember seeing something about how that isn't the best way to do them or their is another way to do them. Which method do you use in your converters?

I remember reading that somewhere before as well. I think on an Ebay auction. We furnace braze all our billet series, I think it really solidifies the unit and makes it very strong. We also hand TIG weld the tips of each blade on the impeller and turbine for added strength. Sometime the furnace brazing does not get all the way to the ends of the blades.

Yup!

Tig Welded
All of our Performance converters feature Tig welded impellers and turbines, this process is far stronger than furnace brazing.

So looking at my mods what would give me the best ET and more important MPH in your line?

I am hitting the track this Friday I have a STRONG feeling a new PB will be had. Over the last 8 years I have had 3 different Yank converters. My last one had seen better days and after some phone calls and research a Circle D was it's replacement. I need solid track info but boy i'll be damned if this Circle D unit dont feel like it really runs harder up top. Congrats to the OP in this thread and if anybody is in the market for a converter do yourself a favor and at least give Chris at Circle D a call I am VERY glad I did.

Quick Reply: Thanks to Circle D converters!!!!
