So what happens when the rear sprague breaks?

When the LOW ROLLER fails you can only move in manual low 1 and some cars can move in manual low 2 once moving you cant upshift through the gears find until you stop again then you have to down shift again to move.
They can fail for many different reasons but I always say when this failure occurs check the rear end as in many cases its not that the low roller just failed the rear end can lock up and kill it.

I did have a rear failure a few weeks back, but all was fine & I made many 10 second runs with a new rear & drove a few hundred miles.
However, yesterday on the return road going 20 MPH my car stopped abruptly & I almost went thru the windsheild.
It felt like someone suddenly stood on the brakes!
I idled on, then it did it again just over 5 MPH!
I'm assuming the rear sprague in the trans broke or got hurt from the rear failure, and it was just a matter of time until it went..
Had I know this, I certainly would have swapped out the tranny no matter what, when the rear was done!
