sounds about right to me. Remember, your friends got 2 more gears than you do.

What do you consider bad gas milage?

with a 3.23 rear and converter locked at exactly 2000 rpm you are going exactly 68 mph(275-40-17 or equivelent O.D.) if you have a 3.23 rear and your rpm is higher then what i just stated something is not right.

yea it must be right then the rear is stock 3.23 but when i first got the car the trans took a crap rebuilt it then put it in works fine it just felt like i did a little better on milage before and he rpms were lower but o1reddssa4 said its right there i would figure the converter would drop the rpm a little more what do you guys average on a tank of fuel with decent driving i get about 260 then fill up about 14 gallons only mod on car is full exhaust has o2 sims but it may need to be tuned though

That's 18.5 mpg, not bad if your doing a mix of city/highway, and opening it up a couple times per tank.
