Default TCI Full Reverse Manual Valve Body--- No reverse,1st,2nd,3rd, or 4th now

i installed a new TCI manual valve body into a built 700r4. I have no gears R,1234...the only gear that works is park. shifter shifts through all gears normally without any problems. tci said that my pump is probably bad but I know that there is no way possible that could be it. I thought I installed it right but maybe not, any ideas???

Was this running before the VB? Was the trans out and reinstalled, then never worked?
What have you done so far to troubleshoot this problem?

got aggravated, and decided to hang it up for the night. im going to crack it open tomorrow and check the internal linkage. it was running before with some aftermarket shift kit and I left the tranny in the car when I installed the valve body

That eliminates a lot of potentially bad problems.
It has to be the valve body, linkage, maybe even the governor depending on how it was converted.

Please don't take this the wrong way but did you install a filter when you were done? The manual linkage is a good possibility. The best advise I have for guys in your situation is to go back over your work. In most cases something was over looked. Good luck. Vince

That happens often when guys do an install. Makes perfect sense because it created a huge leak. Good find and good luck at the track. Vince
